First week!

Playing with glow sticks when we learned that God created light.

C is for clowns.

Doing experiments with air after learning about day 2 of Creation.

Sorting shapes in math was active, moving all around the room this morning.

After learning about light, we introduced the light table. Today it was one of our morning work options. Here they are sorting shells.

Most Friday mornings we have a soft start. Instead of having assigned morning work, we have several choices.

This week we worked on sorting in math. Our morning work had five different sorting manipulative choices (bugs, shells, ocean creatures, buttons, bears)

It was fun to see how this evolved from smaller houses to a larger castle as more children worked together.

B is for balance.

B is for blocks

A is for animals.

Last day!

First, a few pictures from earlier this week:

Bible time - reviewing Old Testament books one day and New Testament days the next

Painting bubble wrap, gently pressing the fish down

Lifting it up to see the 'scales'.

Water day set up (the whole tarp was a giant slip n' slide by the end.

Popsicle break!

Happy last day of school!

Water day!

We started out playing in pools.

They were very splashy at times.

The small pools were no-splash zones
Then we got out the slip n' slide

Seeing how long they can hold their breath
Getting creative with how they go down the slip n' slide

After an hour we had a water and popsicles break. It was a little quieter after that.

Time for a back float.
Everyone should sleep well tonight!
